A little bit about me.
Welcome, I'm Ian.
I’ve spent 28 years working as a therapist across London and Berkshire with adults and young people, those with complex needs, in schools, colleges, and the wider community.
My experience spans the public, private, and voluntary sectors, which means I’ve worked with people from all walks of life.
I remain deeply passionate about my work, and I’m here to share what I’ve learned over the years to support you through whatever challenges you may encounter.

My story
Born and grew up in Kenya encountering an outdoor lifestyle, often mixing with wider family and siblings. Under the sun safaris and beach holidays were common ventures and my early school years were amazing.
Our family travelled to the UK in the winter of 1975 soon settling in a North London estate, where life was very different. Adapting to a new culture, secondary education, the complexities of family and peer relationships, while establishing an identity were a constant challenge late into my 20’s.
I originally chose a career in Bakery but after 7 years became allergic to flour! Poor health required a new life path, not one that I prepared for, so I travelled to Australia in “87” in the hope of finding answers. I returned probably none the wiser, but what I did know was I have always been interested in people, their thinking, their relationships, their stories and in general, human behaviour.
Over the years my observations of life, of people, alongside my therapeutic training, have offered me a wealth of knowledge and a greater understanding of my own experiences. This is why I am passionate and committed to supporting people. Later in life I found a sense of self, a relationship that offered love, loyalty, stability and the joy of children. These experiences and the relationships I encounter significantly contribute to who I am still becoming…
