Is counselling for me?
It’s for anyone. There are a million reasons why people access counselling, remember yours is unique. These are some of the things I worked with…
My approach
My Humanistic therapeutic training sets a foundation for working with my clients. I adopt a Person Centered / Psychodynamic / Eclectic approach, focusing on the “Here and Now” or exploring your history if relevant.
Incorporating genuineness, empathy and often working towards the process of self-actualisation. You are here to create your own path as I walk alongside you, guiding you through the complexities of life.
I orientate my approach towards one that adapts to your learning style; therefore, I can be direct/challenging/slow paced/goal based/solution focused or simply just allow you to move at the pace you require.
Our aim is always to address what you need from therapy. Within the sessions I use silence, illustrations, objects and metaphors in which to create a structure that moves you towards tackling life’s challenges, increased understanding, clarity and evolving into acceptance of self and fulfilment.
